The Last Starfighter Gunstar

Back in the days of LW version 5.6c - i decided to have a go at a favorate SF design - The Gunstar from the "The Last Starfighter"

I set about the task and completed the mesh over a period of 3 weeks in approx. 45 or so hours consecutively. Texturing the mesh took another 1.5 hours (all procedural). The scene files include a working death blossom feature! The thrusters have individual thruster cones and luminosity falloff maps - it is optimized for Lightwave 5.6 users.

Since this mesh was made I have gone back to it and refined it for the latest versions of Lightwave - the thrusters now incorporate volumetric lights (bless them!) and other such version refinements.
